This is the website for the Schenectady Homing Pigeon Club which is a non for profit organization, that was originally founded in 1958. We use this site for general announcements and for race schedules and results. Over the years while other clubs have ceased to exist the Schenectady Homing Pigeon Club which is an International Federation pigeon club has endured. Here in Upstate New York we race Homing Pigeons. Pigeon racing is the sport of releasing specially trained racing pigeons, which then return to their homes over a carefully measured distance.
If you’d like some more information on the local racing pigeon club, or if you are in the market for homing pigeons please feel free to contact us and we can refer you to our club members who may have racing pigeons for sale. Race fees are set prior to each season and are determined by how many flyers we have and how many races we schedule. We accept all Benzing models of clocks, all clocks with counter marks in the capsule, and Bricon. As a club we can assist you in finding all the things you will need to be a successful flier.
